Nokia N97 – Product Highlights
The Nokia N97 is a S60 5th Edition mobile computer. It has a full size 3,5“, vivid nHD (640 x 360 pixels &16:9 aspect ratio) TFT color display with resistant touch-screen and tactual feedback. N97 offers first-class user experience for internet and entertainment.

Nokia Releases N97 Mini - the latest smartphone
The world’s biggest mobile phone giant Nokia has turn out with its cutting-edge models that are laden with lot of stimulating music features and bear more integration with Facebook.
The announcement of fresh phones and services was made at the Nokia World Conference in Stuttgart, Germany.
N97 Mini covers the list of newest phones by the company. This phone is a fairly more small-scale edition of Nokia’s current flagship N97 smartphone.
This new and small-sized N97 features less memory - 8 GB - as compared to the original one that bore 32 GB memory. Also, the phone bears a short battery life and a smaller touch-screen display.
Its price stands at 450 euros, or approximately 639-USD. This isn't a lot lower than that of the N97, which was at the start sold in the U.S. for 700-USD.
Features of N97 Mini -A greater integration with Facebook
Music service is incorporated in the fresh N97 Mini. Due to the increase of this service, the price of the phone goes up. However users will get the lavishness of free download music service.
Not just this, this mobile phone will be the first Nokia phone to feature closer integration with the renowned social networking website - Facebook. Users of this N97 can now update their location and status on Facebook if they are having a Nokia Ovi account. Nokia programs to broaden this servicing on its other phones also.
Launching of two latest music phones
Two new music phones have also been brought out by Nokia. These two new models are: the X6 and the X3.
The X6 includes a touch screen feature and an inbuilt memory of 32 gigabyte. The phone is going to be Nokia’s new flagship music phone. The phone is scheduled to run into the market with a price tag of 450 euros, or 639-USD. The phone will also feature the “Comes with Music service” incorporated into it.
Global market: Nokia is continuing reinventing itself
Nokia is the champion mobile phone manufacturer in the global market. It carries a whopping 40 pct global market share. Recently, the company is trying to extend up its business by furnishing its mobile phone users with online services like music downloads, games, and maps.
So to keep its position in the world market, Nokia requires continuing on introducing in the smartphone family. It requires rendering people with low-cost devices that are stylish and ladened with up-to-date features.
That’s why it gets tough competition from other players including Apple and Research in Motion. Nokia particularly requires making its presence sensed in America where it is not very much popular.
The new phones which Nokia announced could not do a lot to decelerate its sinking fame in the market. The reason is these products are not revolutionary enough to contend in the global market.
Nokia’s expanding tactically
Nokia is testing several steps to maintain a solid foothold in the phone market. A month before, it announced an affiliation with Microsoft to form a new version of Microsoft’s Office software for Nokia mobile phones.
Aside from this, it also announced its first Linux-based mobile phone named N900 smartphone. The phone will directly combat with the iPhone and legions of Google Android phones that are hitting the shelves of market later this year and early next year.
Also, Nokia has planned to bring up more advanced hardware, in the form of a mini-laptop or Netbook. This latest device is the Nokia Booklet 3G. The mini laptop will get a price tag of 575 euros (817-USD).
The Netbook has the advantageous feature of being imbedded with GPS. This will assist in rendering accession to Nokia’s Ovi Maps software and service.
